A Good Theory.

When Olivier Theyskens and Nina Ricci parted ways, the fashion world cried a little bit, not only to see Theyskens be temporarily without a position, but because Theyskens' creations -- as much as we and all people editorial love them -- were not the recipients of commercial success.

And, unfortunately, commercial success translates into dollars, which then translates into happy brand owners and investors.

Then Theory's Andrew Rose came along and plucked the pretty-haired Olivier up to revamp his chic office attire brand with a few capsule collections.

With September and Fashion Week looming, everyone's rapidly pacing back and forth in their Pradas, waiting to see what the young, genius designer has in store for Spring 2011.

In the meantime, these amazing Theory heels are going up online tomorrow, so get those credit cards ready (and make sure you have, at max, $600 of available dollars on the plastic).

    Happy hump day!

    Besos,

I'm Lovin' it: Made this summer salad of fresh fruits (kiwi, strawberry and blueberries), pecans, spinach and feta cheese last night. I was ribbed about my "summer salad" until tasting time, at which the offending eater ate his own words. (Point for me, none for him.)

I'm Over it: I bemoan my lack of book reading this summer. So much for THAT New Year's resolution.

Track of the Day: In the world of unexpected track covers (ie. The Birds and Bee + Hall and Oates), Jens Lekman performs his version of Boyz II Men's "Water Runs Dry" in acoustic.
